Kolkata, Dec 30: Ride-hailing platform inDrive is preparing to offer insurance coverage to commuters throughout trips, a business authorities stated on Saturday.
Introduced in India in 2019, the US-based inDrive now runs in significant cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and some other towns.
It will begin services in Bangalore next year, the authorities stated.
” We are thinking about offering insurance coverage throughout trips to those get the inDrive service. It is now in the preparation phase,” he stated.
The app-based platform signs up “30,000 trips daily in Kolkata with 10,000 chauffeur partners in its fold”, he declared.
The authorities stated inDrive will soon release a security function in its app, which will not share the telephone number of riders with chauffeurs.
” We will present Voice over Web Procedure (VoIP) so that the contact number of the rider is not seen by the chauffeur. The VoIP calls will be protected,” he stated.
