Biggest Strikes 2023: Take This Appearance: A One-Room Cabin in the Catskills
In our most current book, Remodelista: The Low-Impact Home, we profile the one-room cabin of designer couple Bretaigne Walliser and Thom Dalmas of TBo (for Thom-Bretaigne) workplace. The couple developed the cabin themselves in a mountain meadow in the Catskills from a post-and-beam set. Shown their 2 young kids, the one space consists of a little cooking area, banquette dining location, daybeds, and lofted bed room. Here’s a zoomed-in take a look at the information within.
The cabin frame is developed from hemlock, a regional wood, with white pine board-and-batten siding. The flooring is tongue-and-groove white pine. The cabin is energized however without running water.
